Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You have liver cirrhosis confirmed by imaging (ultrasound, CT, or MRI) or a liver biopsy showing advanced scarring, or a stiffness measurement showing significant scarring
  • Your cirrhosis is stable (no recent bleeding from enlarged veins, significant fluid buildup in the belly, or severe confusion from liver disease)
  • You have not had liver cancer or other untreatable cancers, and you are not expected to die within one year
  • You do not have severe heart, lung, brain, or kidney disease
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
