Metformin for Non-Syndromic Alveolar Cleft in Children

  • Your child has an alveolar cleft (a gap in the upper jaw bone/gum area) on one side only
  • Your child's cleft is not part of a genetic syndrome or multiple birth defects
  • Your child is between 8 and 12 years old
  • Your child has never had surgery to repair the cleft
