Controlled Type 2 Diabetic Patients With Periodontitis

Minocycline hydrogel treatment for advanced gum disease

This trial tests whether a special gel containing minocycline (an antibiotic) can help regenerate bone and tissue lost to advanced periodontitis (severe gum disease). The gel is placed directly into deep gum pockets to promote healing and strengthen tooth support.

NCT05442034Recruiting· Phase 1/Phase 2
Two gum treatments for deep bone defects in teeth

This study tests whether one of two treatments can improve healing of “intra-bony” gum/bone defects around teeth after deep cleaning. It may help some people with periodontal disease who have pockets deep enough to involve the bone but with certain health and dental conditions.
