  • You are 40–85 years old
  • Your BMI is between 18–35 kg/m² (a measure of healthy weight range)
  • You are in good enough health for surgery (ASA class I–III, meaning no serious medical conditions that prevent surgery)
  • You had total knee replacement (full knee replacement, not partial) under spinal anesthesia
  • You are having your first knee replacement on one knee only—not a revision or both knees at once
  • Your surgery took 3 hours or less
