Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 80 years old
  • You are scheduled for a total knee replacement on one knee only
  • Your overall health allows for surgery (ASA classification I–III, meaning no severe uncontrolled medical conditions)
  • Your BMI (body mass index) is between 18 and 35
  • You can read, understand, and sign a consent form
  • You do not have a history of nerve damage or nerve disease, and no active infection at the planned injection site
