This study examines how proteins in the eye lens support structures change in patients with angle-closure glaucoma. Researchers will compare these proteins in people with glaucoma who have loose or normal support structures during surgery, and in people without glaucoma having cataract surgery.

Who can take part
- Age 50 or older
- Clinically diagnosed with primary angle-closure glaucoma (a type of glaucoma where the eye's drainage angle narrows)
- Undergoing glaucoma surgery or cataract surgery
- No previous eye surgery
- No systemic diseases (whole-body conditions) that affect eye lens supports
- Not taking long-term medications that affect connective tissue
