Comparing two aspirin doses in older heart disease patients

Who can take part

  • You are 60 years old or older
  • You have a diagnosis of heart disease, stroke, or blood vessel disease (such as a previous heart attack, stent placement, bypass surgery, or stroke)
  • You have been taking aspirin regularly for at least 1 year to prevent future heart or stroke events
  • You have had recent blood tests and urine tests (within 3 months) checking your blood count, liver, kidney, and heart function
  • You are willing and able to take study medication as prescribed and attend follow-up visits
  • You do not have a severe allergy to aspirin or bleeding disorders that would make participation unsafe
