Chitosan Patch for Recurring Hamstring Injuries in Young Athletes

Who can take part

  • You are a male recreational football player who trains or plays at least twice weekly (45+ minutes per session) for the past 12 months
  • You are between 18 and 35 years old
  • You have a new hamstring muscle strain in the same leg and muscle as a previous strain diagnosed and treated within the last 24 months
  • Your current injury started between 3 and 10 days ago
  • An ultrasound exam done within the last 7 days shows a mild or moderate hamstring strain (not severe)
  • You have a BMI between 18.5 and 30.0, and you can walk without crutches or assistance
