Who can take part

  • Age 18–75 years old and in generally fair or better health (able to care for yourself or with minimal help)
  • Diagnosed with a severe, treatment-resistant autoimmune rheumatic disease (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Sjögren's syndrome, scleroderma, or inflammatory muscle disease)
  • Kidney function adequate enough for the treatment (creatinine clearance above 30 mL/min)
  • No active serious infections, including hepatitis B or C, HIV, or recurring infections
  • No history of cancer in the past 2 years, prior CAR-T or gene therapy, or previous organ/stem cell transplant
  • Heart, liver, and lung function adequate; willing to use birth control for 12 months after treatment if able to become pregnant
