Who can take part
- You have a squamous cell carcinoma (a type of cancer) in your throat, voice box, or nearby areas that requires robotic surgery
- You are scheduled for or considering robotic-assisted surgery using the Da Vinci Xi or SP system
- You need speech, swallowing, and voice rehabilitation after your surgery
- You are 18 years old or older and able to provide informed consent
- You can commit to swallowing studies (FEES and VFSS—imaging tests), questionnaires, intensive rehabilitation sessions, and follow-up appointments
- You do not have a severe allergy to iodine contrast media (used in one of the swallowing tests)
