Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 70 years old
  • Have chronic heart failure diagnosed by a doctor and be on heart failure medications for at least 3 months
  • Need a pacemaker, cardiac resynchronization device (CRT), or implantable defibrillator (ICD) based on your heart's electrical activity and pumping function
  • Have a regular heart rhythm (sinus rhythm) with specific heart rhythm patterns that your doctor will confirm
  • Not have had atrial fibrillation in the past
  • Not have had certain heart surgeries or structural heart conditions that would make you ineligible
