Who can take part
- You must be a candidate for an implantable defibrillator (ICD).
- You have permanent atrial fibrillation (AF) that has lasted over 6 months and can't be treated with a standard ablation procedure.
- You have advanced heart failure and are being considered for a heart transplant or a heart pump (LVAD).
- Your heart's pumping strength (LVEF) is 35% or less, measured within the last 6 weeks.
- You have symptoms of heart failure (NYHA class II or higher) despite at least 3 months of guideline-directed medical therapy.
- You are 19 years or older.
