  • You are at least 20 years old
  • You were hospitalized or visited the ER for acute heart failure with fluid buildup (congestion)
  • You need a CT scan with contrast dye during this hospitalization
  • You have mild-to-moderate kidney problems (eGFR between 30–75)
  • You are not currently on dialysis or requiring blood pressure support medicines
  • You do not have a known allergy to furosemide (a water pill)
