- Age 18–75 years
- Confirmed primary aldosteronism (a hormone condition) diagnosed with specific blood and imaging tests
- One-sided adrenal gland tumor confirmed by imaging and special vein testing, with planned surgery to remove it
- Mild-to-moderate kidney disease (eGFR 30–60) or protein in urine, but not severe kidney failure
- No recent use of steroids, heart failure, stroke, or cancer
