Who can take part

  • Age 18–70 years old
  • Diagnosed with one of four qualifying autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, dermatomyositis, or systemic sclerosis) that has not responded to at least 2 prior biologic drugs
  • Adequate blood cell counts, liver, kidney, heart, and lung function at screening
  • No active cancer, serious infections (including HIV, hepatitis, tuberculosis), or severe heart/lung disease
  • Willing to use effective birth control for 1 year after treatment and not donate eggs or sperm for 1 year
