Nicotinamide Riboside for Combined Pulmonary Hypertension
Treatments studied
Part of Heart & circulation, Lungs & breathing clinical trials.
This study tests whether nicotinamide riboside (a B-vitamin supplement) can help people with combined pulmonary hypertension—a condition where blood pressure in the lungs is too high. The researchers want to understand how this supplement affects the body's energy metabolism and whether it might reduce symptoms and improve heart function.
Summary written for real people, not researchers, by Clin2.

- Your heart function is stable (ejection fraction ≥45%) based on an echocardiogram in the past year
- You are able to walk and perform daily activities without major mobility aids
- Your liver and kidney function are normal or near-normal (no severe liver disease, kidney function eGFR ≥30)
- Your lung function is not severely reduced (FEV1 ≥60% predicted)
