Who can take part
- You have muscle-invasive bladder cancer (cancer that has grown into the muscle layer of your bladder) that is newly diagnosed and has not spread to lymph nodes or distant organs
- Your cancer is urothelial type (the most common bladder cancer type) confirmed by biopsy
- You have never had chemotherapy, radiation, or immunotherapy before for bladder cancer
- You choose to keep your bladder and are willing to receive radiation with chemotherapy (or eligible for this treatment)
- You are healthy enough for cancer treatment (ECOG performance status 0–2, meaning you can do most daily activities)
- You have not had pelvic radiation in the past for any reason
