Who can take part

  • Child has been diagnosed with a pituitary gland condition (either AVP-D or hypopituitary disease)
  • If taking pituitary hormone replacement therapy, the dose has been stable for at least 6 weeks
  • If taking birth control pills or hormone therapy, must stop for at least 6 weeks before study visits
  • English language proficiency
  • No recent blood clots, strokes, heart problems, or serious kidney/liver disease
  • No active smoking, pregnancy, or current mental health crisis

Can oxytocin spray improve sex life in people with AVP deficiency?

This study tests whether a nasal spray containing oxytocin can improve sexual well-being in people with a condition called arginine vasopressin deficiency (a problem with a hormone that controls water balance).
