Who can take part
- Age 18 or older
- BMI of 27 or higher (overweight to obese category) with unsuccessful weight loss through diet alone
- No diagnosis of type 1 or type 2 diabetes
- No recent weight loss medications or major weight change (more than 11 lbs) in the last 3 months
- No prior weight-loss surgery (or surgery was more than 1 year ago with device removed)
- Stable thyroid function and no severe mental health conditions
