  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You are admitted to the neurosciences intensive care unit (NSICU) at UT Southwestern Medical Center
  • You or your legally authorized representative can provide informed consent in English
  • At least one type of brain monitoring device can be safely placed on your head or face
  • You do not have extensive injuries, surgical hardware, or open wounds where sensors would be placed
  • You are not currently in prison
