Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (a burst artery in the brain) confirmed by imaging
  • You are admitted to the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit at UT Southwestern's Clements Hospital
  • You have a drain in your brain (EVD) with continuous pressure monitoring, or you're willing to participate in other parts of the study without this drain
  • A small sensor can be safely placed on your head without interfering with bandages or other equipment
  • You can understand and communicate in English

Using light to check brain blood flow after bleeding
