Who can take part
- You have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) diagnosed by a sleep study showing at least 15 breathing pauses per hour
- Your tonsils are enlarged (size 2–4 on a standard scale)
- Your BMI (body mass index) is below 35
- You are otherwise healthy and your doctor says you can safely have tonsil surgery
- You do not take blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder
- You have not had prior surgery to treat sleep apnea
