Who can take part
- Age 18–80 years old
- Had an acute ischemic stroke (blood clot in the brain) treated with clot-busting medication and/or mechanical clot removal within the eligibility window
- Weakness or loss of movement in the arm or hand on one side of your body (the same side as your dominant hand)
- Mild-to-moderate arm weakness on the Fugl-Meyer scale (score 10–50), showing some remaining function
- Were independent or only mildly disabled before the stroke (modified Rankin Scale score ≤2)
- Mentally alert enough and able to communicate well enough to complete training tasks
