Brain Stimulation for Bipolar Disorder and Weight Management

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 45 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and your mood is currently stable (low depression and mania scores)
  • You have obesity, defined by BMI ≥ 28 or waist circumference measurements (≥90 cm for men, ≥85 cm for women)
  • Both of your biological parents are of Han ethnicity
  • You have not taken antibiotics or had infections of the respiratory, urinary, or digestive system in the past month, and have not consumed probiotics in the past week
  • You are able to undergo an MRI scan (no metal implants or pacemakers)
