Finger Extension Recovery Training After Stroke

This study tests whether people who had a stroke more than 6 months ago can regain the ability to straighten their fingers, even if they currently have very limited or no movement. Researchers will assess your potential for recovery and develop a personalized approach.

Who can take part

  • Had a stroke more than 6 months ago
  • Very weak or no ability to straighten your long fingers (index through pinky)
  • No severe muscle tightness (spasticity) in your hand or wrist flexors
  • Able to lay your hand flat on a table
  • No Botox injections to finger or wrist muscles in the past 6 months
