  • You are 18 years or older
  • You had sleep apnea diagnosed by a sleep study (polysomnography) before surgery
  • You completed maxillomandibular advancement (MMA) surgery—a procedure that moves your lower jaw forward
  • You had sleep studies done both before and after your surgery
  • After surgery, you developed central sleep apnea (a condition where your brain doesn't signal your muscles to breathe)
  • You did not have any other jaw or facial surgeries at the same time as your MMA
