Who can take part

  • You are having your first hip or knee replacement surgery (not a redo surgery)
  • You speak Danish as your native language
  • You will receive spinal anesthesia (numbing medicine injected near the spine, not general anesthesia)
  • You are able and willing to participate in video or phone check-ins after surgery
  • You can see and hear well enough to do virtual study visits
  • You will be discharged from the hospital on the same day as your surgery
