Who can take part

  • You have stage II or III HER2-positive invasive breast cancer confirmed by a lab test
  • You are at least 18 years old and willing to have surgery after receiving treatment
  • Your heart function is normal (ejection fraction ≥ 55%), and you're in good enough health to receive chemotherapy
  • You have not received any previous cancer treatment (chemotherapy, targeted therapy, or radiation) for this breast cancer
  • You do not have advanced cancer (stage IV), cancer in both breasts, or a recent history of other cancers
  • You are willing to use effective birth control for 7 months after treatment if you can become pregnant
