Immunotherapy plus targeted therapy before kidney cancer surgery

Clear Cell Renal Cell Carcinoma

Part of Cancer, Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This trial tests giving two medications (a PD-L1 inhibitor and anlotinib) before surgery for complex kidney cancer, to try to shrink the tumor enough that surgeons can remove just part of the kidney instead of the whole organ. The goal is to preserve kidney function and avoid dialysis.

Immunotherapy before surgery for clear cell kidney cancer

This trial tests whether giving pucotenlimab (an immunotherapy drug) with vorolanib (a targeted therapy) before surgery helps shrink clear cell kidney tumors and makes kidney-sparing surgery safer. It is for people with localized, non-metastatic disease where the tumor is difficult to remove with partial nephrectomy.
