Brain Monitoring Technology in Intensive Care

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been diagnosed with a brain bleed or stroke and admitted to a neurosurgical ICU
  • You are already receiving standard invasive monitoring (tubes measuring pressure in your brain and blood pressure)
  • Your scalp is intact without severe damage, infection, or skull defects that would prevent sensor placement
  • You can be monitored continuously for at least 2 hours with good quality data
  • You do not have severe bleeding disorders or allergies to electrode materials
