Who can take part

  • Age 18–75 years old
  • Scheduled for open colorectal surgery under general anesthesia
  • Overall health status is acceptable for surgery (ASA class II–III)
  • No history of opioid abuse or regular opioid use
  • BMI under 35 kg/m²
  • No severe heart failure, kidney failure, liver disease, or skin infection at injection sites
  • No blood clotting disorders and able to stop blood thinners if needed
  • No allergy to the study medications
