Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • You have been diagnosed with high blood pressure (or hard-to-control high blood pressure)
  • You score 3 or higher on the STOP-Bang screening questionnaire, which suggests you may be at risk for sleep apnea
  • You are willing to have your heart rate monitored and undergo a sleep study (polysomnography) to measure your breathing during sleep
  • You can follow all study procedures without medical complications that would make participation unsafe
