Who can take part

  • You must be a male student at Guangzhou Sport University who plays basketball regularly
  • You are in good overall health with no heart, liver, kidney, nerve, digestive, or metabolic diseases
  • Your blood pressure is normal and you have not had a lower leg or thigh injury in the past 6 months
  • You are not taking performance-enhancing drugs, hormone medications, or muscle-building supplements (for at least 4 weeks before starting)
  • You can commit to 6 weeks of the study, including training sessions and fitness tests
  • You have no blood clots, bleeding disorders, or skin infections where a cuff would go on your thigh
