Who can take part

  • Starting or recently started (within 8 weeks) one of four specific antipsychotic medications: olanzapine, quetiapine, clozapine, or risperidone
  • Age 18–65 years old
  • Have not taken these medications regularly in the last 6 months (except your current treatment)
  • No active eating disorders, chronic stomach/digestive problems, liver or pancreas disease, or diabetes
  • Not currently pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Not taking antibiotics, other probiotics, or medications that affect metabolism in the past 4 weeks
