Who can take part

  • Age 60 or older
  • Diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) with geographic atrophy in at least one eye
  • Geographic atrophy area between 2.5 and 10.16 mm² (measured by special eye imaging)
  • Vision in the study eye at least 20/70 (correctable with glasses)
  • Able to receive vaccinations against meningitis and pneumonia before starting treatment
  • Willing to take daily medication and attend regular eye exams
