Who can take part

  • You are 18–70 years old
  • You had a stroke that caused moderate wrist stiffness (spasticity) that can be gently stretched
  • Your wrist stiffness can be easily overcome by passive stretch, without a catch-and-hold response
  • You are willing and able to give informed consent and follow study instructions
  • You have not had Botox injections or nerve procedures in your affected arm within the past 3 months
  • You can hold your arm in various positions (shoulder, elbow, forearm, wrist) during testing
