Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 74 years old.
  • You had a stroke (either type) at least 6 months ago, causing weakness on one side or in one limb.
  • Your stroke condition is stable and not getting worse.
  • You have significant tightness (spasticity) in at least two muscle groups of your affected arm or leg, measured as grade 2 or higher on a standard scale.
  • You've tried physical therapy or medications for stiffness, but your symptoms haven't improved recently.
  • You agree to keep your current rehab and anti-spastic medications the same during the study.
  • You can attend all study visits and give written consent.
  • You do not have conditions that prevent surgery (like active infections), severe depression, or memory problems.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study.
