- You are 18 years old or older
- You are currently hospitalized in an intensive care or intermediate care unit at Nice University Hospital
- Your EVD (brain drainage tube) was placed at Nice University Hospital
- You do not have a pre-existing infection of the brain or spinal cord lining
- You have not already decided to limit your medical treatment
