- You are older than 18 years.
- You have an external ventricular drain (EVD) placed in your brain.
- You are in the neuro-ICU or neurosurgical step-down unit at Rigshospitalet in Denmark.
- You have a recent brain injury from trauma, bleeding around the brain, or bleeding inside the brain's chambers.
- You or your family understand Danish or English.
- You do not have a brain infection, a pre-existing brain shunt, or brain cancer.
