Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are in the emergency department and your doctor has decided you need a breathing tube placed quickly
  • Your blood pressure is already low (systolic under 90 mmHg or mean arterial pressure under 65 mmHg) or you are at high risk for low blood pressure during the procedure
  • You are able to give written consent, or a legal representative can consent for you if you cannot
  • You are not pregnant
  • You do not have a known allergy to adrenaline (epinephrine)
