Who can take part
- Be between 18 and 70 years old
- Have a BMI between 18.5 and 23.9 (normal weight range)
- If you are a healthy control: have normal blood pressure, no history of high blood pressure, and no adrenal nodules on imaging
- If you have suspected primary aldosteronism: be willing to take spironolactone (a blood pressure medication) for 4 weeks and complete follow-up visits
- Not have severe kidney problems, Cushing's syndrome, uncontrolled diabetes, or severe heart disease
- Not be allergic to spironolactone or taking medications that affect the hormone system (like steroids or birth control pills)
