Shorter salt test for primary aldosteronism diagnosis

Who can take part

  • Diagnosed with primary aldosteronism (a condition where the adrenal glands make too much aldosterone, causing high blood pressure and low potassium)
  • Aged between 20 and 70 years old
  • Body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 23.9 kg/m2
  • For healthy volunteers: normal blood pressure (90-120/60-80 mmHg), regular periods (if female), no medications in the past month, and no history of hypertension or low potassium
