Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP—a condition where your body destroys its own platelets) for at least 3 months.
- Previous treatments (corticosteroids and at least one other ITP medication) have not worked well enough or caused intolerable side effects.
- Your platelet count is currently very low (below 30,000 per microliter of blood), confirmed by two tests at least 1 day apart.
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- Your liver, kidney, and heart function are adequate based on lab and imaging tests.
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study and for 6 months after treatment.
