Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- Your body mass index (BMI) must be between 18.5 and 35.
- You must have heart or blood vessel disease, or be at high risk for it, or have a genetic condition that causes high cholesterol (HeFH).
- You must be on a stable cholesterol-lowering medication (like a statin) for at least 4 weeks before joining.
- Your fasting LDL cholesterol (the 'bad' cholesterol) must be above a certain level, depending on your risk group. For example, if you are at very high risk, your LDL must be at least 70 mg/dL.
- You must not have certain medical conditions like tendon problems, severe liver or kidney disease, or uncontrolled thyroid or blood pressure.
