Who can take part

  • You are 65 years old or older
  • You live in a rural area and have been there at least 6 months per year
  • You have at least 3 stroke risk factors (such as high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking) OR you've had a stroke or TIA (mini-stroke) before
  • You're willing to receive regular health care from your local village clinic for the study duration
  • You can provide written consent or have a legal representative sign for you
  • You do not have severe memory loss or psychiatric condition that would prevent you from completing check-ins and assessments
