Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older and in the emergency department needing a CT scan to check for lung blood clots
- Your oxygen level is above 92% while breathing room air (no supplemental oxygen)
- Your blood pressure is above 100 mm Hg systolic (the upper number)
- You are breathing fewer than 24 times per minute
- Your heart rate is between 40 and 120 beats per minute, and you do not have third-degree heart block
- You can lie flat on your back for at least 10 minutes and speak English
