- Live in Hong Kong and be at least 18 years old
- Smoke at least one cigarette every day for the past 3 months
- Speak, read, and write Cantonese fluently
- Have WhatsApp installed and be able to use it to receive text messages

- Not currently using other smoking-cessation programs or medications like nicotine patches or prescription quit-smoking pills
