Who can take part

  • You have metabolic problems like type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or central obesity (BMI ≥25)
  • Liver imaging shows signs of fat buildup in your liver (liver stiffness ≥8, CAP ≥248, or MRI showing ≥5% fat)
  • You have not lost more than 10% of your body weight in the past 6 months through diet alone
  • You drink safely: less than 30g daily if male, less than 20g daily if female (roughly 2 drinks or fewer per day)
  • You own a compatible smartphone (Android 7.0+ or iOS 14.0+) to use the study's fitness tracker app
  • You do not have cirrhosis, decompensated liver disease, HIV, autoimmune hepatitis, or other liver diseases
