Who can take part

  • You have diabetes and chronic kidney disease
  • You have not been physically active for at least 3 months
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 30 and 35 (a measure of weight related to height)
  • You do not smoke or use tobacco products
  • You do not have heart failure, severe heart valve problems, or liver inflammation
  • You are not pregnant and have not had a kidney transplant
  • You are not currently taking anti-inflammatory medications (like ibuprofen or steroids)
