Who can take part

  • You have a type of liver cancer called hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) that can be treated with RFA.
  • Your tumor is 3 centimeters or less in size.
  • You have a physical status rating of ASA I, II, or III (meaning you are generally healthy or have mild to moderate health conditions).
  • You are not a candidate for surgery to remove the tumor.
  • You are not currently taking medications that suppress your immune system.
  • You do not have certain conditions that affect bleeding or the immune system, such as autoimmune disorders, HIV, or bleeding disorders.
